About the position - Pinion is developing an evolving, user oriented, interactive environment that utilizes our distinctive engagement mechanism. As our product map and customer base expands, we need someone to manage personnel and focus on day-to-day development tasks in order to maintain and improve on the progress we have. This position will report directly to the CTO. We are seeking an experienced lead full-stack engineer with experience in startup environments, planning development activiites and running remote teams. An ideal candidate for this position will be a self-motivated lead who works well with other team members and can focus on deliverables.. You should reliably have available bandwidth to be able to communicate with teammates and work on development tasks. Responsibilities and Duties Work with CTO and act has their 2iC (2nd in charge). Participate in the design, build and test of the internal and customer-facing application. Be responsible for integration and progression of front end, back end, database technology, API code and functionality. Help create and manage development packages and activities in Azure DevOps, Jira, etc. Develop redundancies and oversight within development and analytics teams. Assist with hiring process. Focus on working with teams to work on deliverables and establish and meet reasonable deadlines. Makes sure that issues around "delivery against goals" are identified in a timely manner. Participate in governance and review (Workflow staging, QA/QC, documentation, etc) Collaborate with CTO and product team to evolve the platform in the web and mobile environments Collaborate with a team of onshore and offshore developers across multiple locations. Qualifications Must have a good experience level with a mix of our core environment: Linux, JS/REACT, Azure DevOps, SQL Server, Entity Framework. Node.js. (Be familiar with alternative environments as well) Good to have: , Python, Django, Apache, Microsoft development stack/tools Experience with Client-side and Server-side Development, APIs, Database tools Experience in web application development and maintenance required Experience in mobile application development and maintenance preferred Experience with collaborative tools such as Azure, Github, Jira. Good team player and willingness to engage with teammates, get to know them and create a collaborative working environment. Formal education or equivalent work experience leading a team of developers. Available bandwidth - We understand life that happens, jobs change, families require time and we expect to accommodate this but you should expect to consistently contribute at least 10 hours per week, with more welcome. Compensation - Please Note: We are a true early stage start up (pre-funding/pre-revenue) and all working for future equity only (no salaries yet) using the Slicing Pie methodology (www.slicingpie.com) to fairly allocate equity in the company. This role is intended to grow into a full-time salary+bonus+equity position in the future as we gain funding and revenues. Also, Angel List requires that this post be classified as a "Cofounder" in order to post on the site. While you will be part of our founding team, this is NOT a legal employment offer for a "cofounder role" - all of our team members are on contractor work agreements.
