Role Overview
We are looking for a Solutions Engineer – QA Automation who brings strong automation fundamentals and enjoys explaining technology, designing solutions, and working with customers.
This role is ideal for QA Automation Engineers who want to grow beyond hands-on scripting into a solution-oriented, customer-facing career — without moving into a sales-quota role.
You will act as a technical advisor and product expert, helping prospects and customers understand how AI-powered automation can solve real-world testing challenges.
This is not a pure scripting role and not a sales target role. It is a technical, consultative position focused on solution design, demos, and customer success.
Key ResponsibilitiesCustomer & Solution Engagement
Participate in discovery calls to understand customer QA and automation challenges
Design and recommend QA automation solutions using the Webomates AI testing platform
Explain automation concepts, architectures, and value propositions to customers
Conduct product demos, solution walkthroughs, and technical presentations
Support customer evaluations, pilots, and proof-of-concepts (POCs)
Collaboration & Enablement
Work closely with Sales, Product, and Engineering teams to align solutions with customer needs
Translate customer requirements into clear technical proposals and documentation
Provide feedback from customer interactions to improve product capabilities
Stay updated on QA automation trends, AI testing innovations, and platform enhancements
Required Skills & ExperienceMust-Have
2+ years of hands-on experience in QA Automation
Experience with tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar frameworks
Solid understanding of QA processes, automation frameworks, and testing lifecycle
Strong spoken and written English communication skills
Comfort presenting technical ideas to customers and stakeholders
Interest in customer interaction, solutioning, and technology consulting
Nice-to-Have
Exposure to SaaS products or enterprise QA tools
Experience working with global or US-based customers
Familiarity with AI-driven testing or analytics-based automation
Experience supporting demos, POCs, or client discussions
