Senior Backend Platform Engineer Multi-tenant APIs & Output CompositionKey ResponsibilitiesDesign and develop scalable multi-tenant backend APIs with versioning, backward compatibility, and secure access controls. Build platform services for tenant management, workflow orchestration, policy enforcement, and audit logging. Develop secure RESTful APIs and backend services that support multiple applications and consumers. Build output generation services capable of creating reports, summaries, dashboards, presentations, and enterprise-ready documentation. Implement workflow services supporting long-running jobs, retries, scheduling, idempotency, and fault tolerance. Design authentication, authorization, and governance frameworks using RBAC and least-privilege principles. Build reliable distributed systems with monitoring, logging, tracing, and production observability. Collaborate with Product, AI, DevOps, Frontend, and Research teams to deliver scalable platform capabilities. Ensure platform security, compliance, performance optimization, and high availability. Participate in production support, incident management, deployment planning, and release readiness. EligibilityBachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field. Minimum 6+ years of backend software engineering experience. Strong proficiency in one or more backend technologies such as Go, Java, Kotlin, Python, Node.js (TypeScript), or similar. Experience designing and developing multi-tenant platforms or enterprise backend systems. Strong understanding of API architecture, microservices, distributed systems, and scalable backend design. Experience with authentication, authorization, RBAC, OAuth, JWT, and enterprise security best practices. Knowledge of workflow engines, asynchronous processing, queues, retries, and fault-tolerant architectures. Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases, caching, messaging systems, and cloud-native development. Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is preferred. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and collaboration skills. Preferred QualificationsExperience building enterprise platform APIs used by multiple teams or business units. Hands-on experience with document generation, reporting pipelines, citation/provenance systems, or workflow automation. Experience implementing audit trails, governance frameworks, and compliance-driven architectures. Exposure to AI/LLM-powered platforms, healthcare technology, or regulated digital products is an added advantage.
