Why This Role Matters
Operations is the backbone of SyntheticFi.
As an Operations Associate, you’ll be the main liaison between SyntheticFi, financial advisors, clients, and custodian partners. You’ll help ensure accounts are opened correctly, transfers happen smoothly, advisors receive timely support, and operational issues are resolved quickly and accurately.
This is more than a back-office role. You’ll have a direct impact on client experience, advisor relationships, and our ability to scale. You’ll also have the opportunity to help build and improve the operational foundation of a fast-growing fintech company.
What You’ll Own
Communicate daily with our custodian partners to ensure smooth paperwork processing, resolve discrepancies, and manage margin requirements.
Manage new client account setup, documentation, and serve as a primary point of contact for operational inquiries.
Ensure all operational activities adhere to internal policies and financial regulations.
Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and enhance operational efficiency, potentially by assisting with the implementation of new software or automation tools.
Collaborate with product, engineering, and leadership teams on new financial products by assessing operational feasibility, designing workflows, and testing implementation processes.
Must-Haves
Experience working with RIA custodians such as Charles Schwab, Pershing, Fidelity, or similar institutions
Experience supporting advisor, brokerage, wealth management, or RIA operations
Strong understanding of account opening, transfers, and operational workflows
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
Demonstrated problem-solving ability and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving operational issues
Strong communication and relationship management skills
Nice-to-Haves
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field
Experience with options, derivatives, margin lending, or securities-backed lending products
Experience with SQL, Retool, Zapier, or other automation platforms
Startup experience
