Senior Solutions Engineer (US / Canada) at Zenskar
About the role
Zenskar is growing fast, and this role sits at the heart of it — helping customers realize real value on a motion that's already working, alongside a sharp, ambitious team.
You'll be the voice of the customer internally, partnering with Sales, Product, and Engineering to solve complex customer problems, not just explain features. You'll bring genuine finance domain credibility: you can hold thoughtful, credible conversations with controllers and finance leaders on revenue recognition, billing complexity, and close cycles, and connect those discussions back to product value.
What You'll Do
Solutioning
Understand customer billing models and configure Zenskar contracts, pricing, metering, and invoicing accurately
Translate complex business requirements into clear, structured Zenskar workflows
Design solutions for complex billing, rev rec, and reporting processes — focused on outcomes, not features
Pre-sales & technical discovery
Partner with Sales on live demos, sandbox setups, and RFP responses
Run discovery conversations with CFOs, CTOs, controllers, VPs of Finance, and senior stakeholders, connecting their needs to Zenskar's capabilities
Build and maintain demo environments that reflect real-world enterprise use cases, and contribute meaningfully to enterprise deal outcomes
Internal coordination & escalation
Act as the voice of the customer internally, sharing structured insights with Product and Engineering
Create clean handoff documentation when transitioning deals or use cases
Raise and follow through on time-sensitive issues so momentum is never lost
Documentation & enablement
Create customer-specific solution documentation and onboarding references
Contribute to internal knowledge bases, enablement material, and product docs
Communicate clearly — simple enough for a CXO, precise enough for technical teams
What We're Looking For
Required
6–10 years in Solutions Engineering, Pre-Sales, or Technical Consulting
CPA or equivalent practitioner background in accounting, audit, financial operations, or ERP consulting
Hands-on experience running revenue recognition in Excel and/or ERP software
Deep familiarity with the finance function — how controllers operate and what they care about (close cycles, rev rec, AR hygiene) — and the ability to speak their language without a translator
Comfort supporting $75k+ deal cycles and multi-stakeholder buying processes
Experience supporting customers across global markets, especially North America
Strong communication and demo skills: you can explain the why behind a solution, not just the how
Conceptual understanding of software/AI architecture and APIs, with the ability to reason through workflows and usage issues
Strong analytical thinking and a structured approach to problem-solving
High ownership, curiosity, and comfort in fast-moving environments
Willing to work standard US business hours (ET/PT) on weekdays
Authorized to work in the US or Canada
Nice to have
Hands-on experience with billing or order-to-cash workflows, as a practitioner or implementer
Proven track record owning implementation outcomes end-to-end, accountable for go-live quality and timeline
Prior experience at a fintech, billing, ERP, or RevOps SaaS company — NetSuite, Salesforce Billing, Zuora, Chargebee, or Recurly experience is directly relevant
