Associate Product Manager - Ecommerce at Troopod
Job Title: Ecommerce Project Manager
Location: Remote (India)
Experience: 2-5 years
About Troopod
Troopod is an AI-native website growth partner for leading consumer brands. We help D2C brands improve website performance, conversion, and ad-to-landing page experience through a combination of human expertise and AI-led execution. We work with 35+ brands including Colgate, Damensch, Wonderchef, Obvi, and BSC across India, UK, and USA.
About the Role
We're hiring an Ecommerce Project Manager to own large website design and development projects end-to-end, from the first client call to final deployment. You'll be the primary point of contact for your clients and the person who makes sure every project gets delivered on time, on brief, and without surprises. This means you'll run discovery, document requirements, build project plans, manage timelines, coordinate designers and developers, and keep clients informed at every stage. The ideal person has run complex web projects before, knows how ecommerce websites are built, and doesn't need to be told twice to flag a problem early.
What You'll Own
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients on all design and development projects, owning the relationship from kickoff to delivery
Run requirement-gathering sessions with clients and translate them into detailed, structured briefs that designers and developers can execute against without ambiguity
Build and own project plans including scope, timelines, milestones, and delivery checkpoints for each project
Coordinate design and development teams throughout the project lifecycle and remove blockers before they become delays
Review all deliverables before they go to clients and flag gaps between what was scoped and what was built
Manage scope creep proactively, identify when requests go beyond the original brief and handle the conversation with the client
Own website revamp projects from discovery through go-live, managing all moving parts across multiple workstreams simultaneously
Maintain clear project documentation at every stage so nothing falls through the cracks
What We're Looking For
2-5 years of experience managing website design and development projects at a digital agency, ecommerce agency, or D2C brand
Proven track record of running large, complex web projects end-to-end. You've owned a website build or revamp from scratch and shipped it
Strong at writing detailed project requirements and briefs. You can take a vague client ask and turn it into something a developer can build without back and forth
Solid understanding of how ecommerce websites are built. You don't need to code, but you need to know what's technically easy, what's complex, and what's out of scope
Familiar with Shopify storefronts, Figma handoffs, and how design-to-development workflows run
Excellent at managing multiple projects simultaneously without losing track of timelines or deliverables
Comfortable having direct conversations with clients, including pushing back when scope expands or timelines slip
Proactive communicator who updates before being asked and escalates problems early rather than hoping they resolve themselves
Why Troopod
Own real projects with real D2C brands from day one, no hand-holding, no busy work
Small, fast team where your work is visible and your growth is fast
Competitive fixed pay plus performance variable
