This AI startup serves major enterprises in defence, financial services, and healthcare via air-gapped self-hosted deployments. They are looking for an Infrastructure Engineer to scale up their fast-growing AI developer product. This role is 5 days in-office
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
• Design and implement robust systems that keep up with ~50% monthly usage growth — before it breaks, not after. Peak load is several times the average, and the average keeps climbing.
• Work directly with our largest customers in defence, financial services, and healthcare to deploy air-gapped, self-hosted instances into their environments — including environments with strict security requirements.
• Turn a hands-on deployment process into a scalable, repeatable one — so we can serve smaller enterprise customers without the same level of manual effort each time.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:
✓5+ years as a DevOps or infrastructure engineer, with experience scaling systems under real load
✓Comfortable with Docker, VMs, and compute clusters — you tinker with these because you find them interesting, not just because the job requires it
✓Deep Linux systems knowledge — the kind of person who reads performance engineering blogs for fun
✓Energised by high-growth chaos — things breaking because you're growing fast is a good problem to you, not a bad one
