MINE is an AI-native chronic care billing automation platform built for independent metabolic specialty practices. We recover reimbursement that independent practices systematically miss through compliant documentation, eligibility automation, and audit-ready outputs. We are seed-stage, institutionally backed, and building V1.0 now.
What You Will Own
Build and own a HIPAA-compliant cloud infrastructure from the ground up; architecture decisions, configuration, and documentation are yours
Design the data architecture for Protected Health Information (PHI): schema, encryption, access controls, and audit logging
Establish Business Associate Agreement (BAA) compliance across all third-party services before any patient data enters the system
Integrate with clinic Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems via Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources (FHIR) for structured patient data access
Deliver infrastructure documentation sufficient for a permanent owner to eventually take over
What Success Looks Like
A production-grade, HIPAA-compliant environment that a compliance auditor can walk through, with every architectural decision documented, every subprocessor covered by a signed BAA, and a SOC 2 Type 1 evidence package ready for handoff. The infrastructure you build is the compliance foundation everything else runs on.
Required
Production experience with PHI data architectures in regulated environments
HIPAA-compliant cloud environment setup with documented compliance configuration
EHR integration experience: FHIR API, HL7, Redox, or equivalent
3+ years software engineering experience
Preferred
AWS-native stack experience (compelling alternatives considered)
Revenue Cycle Management (RCM), billing, or payer-side healthcare software background
SOC 2 or HITRUST (Health Information Trust Alliance) audit experience
Compliance Floor
HIPAA-compliant is the floor; not HIPAA-eligible, not HIPAA-ready. Every subprocessor carries a signed BAA before PHI touches it.
Engagement
Hourly contract with performance incentives. 6-month initial scope with milestone-based checkpoints. Structured FTE conversion path with equity available for the right candidate.
