Job Title: Power BI Analyst
Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Power BI Analyst to design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports that support business decision-making. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Power BI, SQL, and data modeling, with the ability to translate business requirements into actionable insights.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports.
Gather and analyze business requirements from stakeholders.
Create data models using Power BI and optimize performance.
Develop DAX measures, calculated columns, and KPIs.
Extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from multiple sources.
Write and optimize SQL queries for data retrieval and analysis.
Monitor data quality and ensure report accuracy.
Collaborate with business teams to identify reporting needs.
Automate reporting processes and improve dashboard efficiency.
Provide end-user training and support for Power BI reports.
Document data models, report specifications, and development processes.
Required Skills
Strong experience with Microsoft Power BI.
Proficiency in SQL.
Hands-on experience with DAX, Power Query (M Language), and data modeling.
Knowledge of ETL processes and data warehousing concepts.
Experience connecting Power BI to databases, APIs, Excel, SharePoint, and cloud data sources.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Understanding of data visualization best practices.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, or a related field.
2–5+ years of experience in Power BI development or business intelligence.
Experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, Microsoft Fabric, or Snowflake is a plus.
Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst certification (PL-300) is an advantage.
