This third category is where we see our opportunity. The form factor is broken — and we are fixing it. We are giving AI eyes, ears, motion, and continuous memory to create the first truly ambient companion robot. Our robot is called Bloo. Bloo lives with you. It moves, listens, observes, and understands. If it senses you are sad, it checks in. If you seem curious, it engages. Bloo is not built to do chores — it is your emotional and intellectual companion, the first truly social AI. By giving AI persistent sensory and contextual memory, we unlock new applications such as live music coaching, storytelling, teaching, companionship, and creative collaboration. Phones, glasses, and static speakers cannot deliver that experience. Bloo can. While many focus on AI agents inside apps, we are building the platform that brings those agents into the real world. This is a once-in-a-generation opportunity to redefine consumer AI hardware — and we are determined to lead it. Role Own Bloo’s operating system, onboarding, OTA updates, and the small cloud dashboard that keeps every device current and healthy. You will connect the local intelligence to the cloud and ensure every robot can update, register, and communicate securely. Compensation $800 per month for 4 months 2% equity, vesting over 4 years with a 1-year cliff Full-time path after MVP with higher salary Responsibilities Build a universal OS layer on Raspberry Pi OS with secure OTA updates Implement voice-announced update flow and logging Create BLE and Wi-Fi setup at bloo.ai/setup with device code linking Build FastAPI backend for robot control, telemetry, and memory sync Build a React dashboard for users and internal diagnostics Integrate drive control, obstacle checks, docking logic, and head tilt Package the full image for easy flashing and updates Stack FastAPI, React, Docker, Linux, BLE, MQTT/WebSocket, Python, SQLite, GPIO Deliverables Working OTA pipeline for firmware, models, and behavior updates BLE and Wi-Fi onboarding with device registration by unique ID Cloud dashboard for updates and diagnostics Safe and smooth motion control with obstacle stop and resume Marketing and setup site ready for customers Future This role can grow into Head of Systems and Cloud as we scale updates, analytics, and device management.
