Pay Rate: $33.99/Hour
The primary role of the Maintenance Technician Lead for Engineering Department is to assist the Management team in the leadership and supervision of the department; Assisting in the day-to-day operation of all prescriptive, predictive and preventive maintenance tasks Including, but not limited to performing maintenance and repairs to HVAC, plumbing, electrical, communications and pool & spa systems, and assisting with all fire and safety Inspections. The Maintenance Technician Lead reports to the Engineering Manager or the Director of Engineering.
Duties & Responsibilities
This position is primarily assigned to the morning shift, but may provide supervisory coverage to all shifts depending on business needs
Supervision and Leadership of all Maintenance Technicians
Assist and supervise all prescriptive, predictive and preventive maintenance tasks
Assist with supervision and completion of given tasks on the service optimization software platform Alice
Assist with supervision and completion of projects on Alice
Assist management with purchase orders, inventory control and office tasks
Assist with fire inspections
Perform all job duties in a safe manner and abide by all safety policies and procedures
Adhere to all company and departmental policies and procedures
Reporting of any hazards, injuries, and safety concerns
Demonstrate warmth and sincerity in all interactions
Maintain a professional and welcoming demeanor in both verbal and nonverbal communication
Take ownership of all guest requests and be proactive in ensuring resolution as needed
Always maintain impeccable grooming and personal hygiene and wear uniform as directed
Uphold Sensei values in daily practices
Successfully complete all training and certifications needed for the position
Ensure the confidentiality and security of all guests
Report all faulty equipment, supply needs, maintenance needs, safety hazards, injuries, and other concerns immediately to your supervisor

Customer Service – Follow up on complaints, questions, and concerns; respond to internal customer needs in a friendly, timely and efficient manner

Safety – Comply with established safe work practices and attend to all safety-related training provided or made available by the Company
Due to the intimate nature of the Retreat with limited number of guests on property, must assist teams laterally across all departments to lead a seamless guest flow throughout the different Retreat spaces.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or equivalent
2+ year experience in preventive maintenance
2+ year experience in plumbing
3+ year experience in repairing and maintaining mechanical equipment
2+ year experience in painting and 5+ year experience in refinishing wood surfaces
2+ year experience in basic HVAC, Water treatment, electrical experience
Required Technical / Other Skills and Abilities
Must be safety-conscious and show vigilance and attentiveness to their work
Must possess knowledge of administrative and office procedures, and systems such as but not limited to word, excel, and outlook
Ability to see details
Ability to understand and follow direction
Ability to work cooperatively with others
Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers including reading and writing to complete standardized safety inspection reports
Required Licenses/Certifications
Must possess a valid California driver’s license and an acceptable MVR (Moving Vehicle Record)
