SOCIAL IMPACT WITH GLOBAL REACH! We are a social purpose coorporation working on something revolutionary and preparing to launch. We are building our team. Our MVP is ready to pilot. We are seeking savvy marketing mavens who love engaging on all the socials to help drive our go to market plan. It doesn't get much more "ground floor" and potentially impactful than this. PINION - Civic Engagement Re-Imagined The Problem: Civic engagement is way too hard, doesn't empower citizens, and everyone knows it! We have a big idea to fix that and transform the political-media landscape in the process. The Mission: Transform civic engagement to make it easy, engaging, englightening. Strengthen democracy, empower voters and improve customer satisfaction of residents with their government and governance. Create a platform where everyone can easily find, vote, track progress and share their "Pinions" for pending legislation at the local, state, national, and global legislative levels. The Big Idea - "Tinder for legislation meets Wikipedia for public opinion", where people can easily find, vote on, and track legislation - the same legislation their elected representatives are voting on. Allow them to share their vote to social media if they like (or remain completely private) - so they feel their voice is heard and their vote counts. Enable everyone to see live results including how their friends, community, and of course their elected representatives are voting - PLUS the candidates running to replace them at the next election. Imagine voting in elections for candidate that have voted with you on the topics you care about most - based on actual data, not political spin. Pinion makes civic engagement easy, kinda fun and useful to drive responsive public policy like a healthy democracy should. The Role: We are seeking mission and performance-driven creatives to turn well-researched content ideas into captions, images, videos, animations, and/or infographic content that highlights our vital mission, product and growing PinionNation community of members and customers. Position Responsibilities and Duties • Create engaging text, image, animation and video content. Deploy to our PinionNation social media accounts, focused on growing followings across all platforms, based on brand standards. • Research and create content based on social media strategies coordinated with marketing team/social media manager in alignment with brand messaging. • Research breaking political issues, important pending legislation, social trends and plan & post related social media that demonstrates Pinion's mission and platform. • Video creation including writing outlines/scripts and shot lists, shooting and editing for videos of varying lengths. • Respond to comments and queries from our users and customers in a timely manner. • Identify and implement opportunities to use the Pinion platform via social media postings with real users and customers. • Contribute to the Pinion Go-To-Market Plan, Product Roadmap and Product Requirements. • Establish, track and report weekly social media metrics to measure our progress. • Monitor, respond to and report on feedback and online reviews. • Assist in development and maintaining user/customer personas, journey maps, and related deliverables to ensure we know and support our social media audience as they onboard onto and grow within the Pinion platform. Preferred Qualifications and Soft Skills • Previous experience as a social media creator and/or experience with content creation tools. • Experience supporting community initiatives (e.g., building online forums, creating an event series, writing social media posts, emails and newsletters). • Ability to identify and track relevant analytics from social media platforms. • Solid verbal and written communication skills. • Ability to interpret website traffic and online customer engagement metrics. • Desire to engage with disparate audiences and build solutions that bridge various needs. • Interest in civic engagement, the political domain, and modern media approaches. Our Team: The Pinion team is currently 20+ people and growing. We are motivated professionals who believe in the power of public opinion to improve civic engagement and make our world better. Our marketing team is mostly U.S. based but our development team is global. We are all remote workers so use all the tools to stay sync’d – Slack, Zoom, etc. You'll work in line with the marketing team members to build and post content regularly. A Good Fit People on our project are mostly part time - this is expected. That said, an ideal candidate should have the time and bandwidth required - likely fluctuating between 5 to 15 hours per week, depending on go to market activities. This role in particular will require a high level of responsiveness. You should be enthused about our mission, and comfortable with our early stage, “boot strapping” startup status. It will be a dymanic ride, but should be a fun one! Compensation - PLEASE NOTE: We are “pre-money/pre-revenue” so NOT yet paying any salaries or spending money on outside vendors. We are a true early stage start up (pre-money/pre-revenue) and all working for future equity only (no salaries yet) using the Slicing Pie methodology (www.slicingpie.com) to fairly allocate equity in the company. This role is intended to grow into a full-time (salary, benefits, equity) position in the future as we gain funding and customer revenues.
