Metry AI is an early-stage SaaS startup building AI-powered tools for service-based businesses.
We work closely with real merchants to understand their workflows, validate product-market fit, and onboard them into our platform.
This internship is highly hands-on and field-driven. You will not be sitting behind a desk — you will be talking to real store owners, collecting insights, and helping bring them onto the Metry platform.

As a Business Operations Intern, you will act as the bridge between local merchants and the Metry product team.
Your core responsibility is to interview , scout , onboard, and support service businesses on a weekly basis.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys real-world interaction, startups, and learning how SaaS companies grow from zero to one.
Key Responsibilities
Visit service-based businesses (e.g. salons, nail studio, clinics, small shops) every week
Introduce Metry and explain our product clearly to store owners
Conduct structured interviews to understand:
Daily operations
Booking / payment flows / Social Media Usage
Customer communication pain points
Assist merchants with:
Basic onboarding
Initial usage guidance
Collect feedback, objections, and feature requests
Summarize insights and report back to the core team
Requirements
Currently enrolled university student or recent graduate
Comfortable with face-to-face communication
Strong sense of responsibility and execution
Able to travel locally and visit multiple stores per week
Basic business or tech curiosity (no coding required)
Language
Taiwan role: Mandarin (required)
Tokyo role: Japanese (required)
Nice to Have
Interest in startups, SaaS, AI, or entrepreneurship
Experience in sales, interviews, research, or customer-facing roles
Familiarity with small businesses or service industries
