Senior Software Engineer, Infrastructure / Health tech / Python, IaC, CDK / Hybrid at TrustIn
We're hiring for a Series A healthtech company backed by top-tier investors and strategic angels from some of the best companies in tech. They’re looking for their first infrastructure engineer to own and lead this function as they grow.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
• Set up and scale infrastructure to support our next wave of growth — maintaining and improving AWS, reducing spend, and building reusable engineering rails that increase developer velocity.
• Build the systems that let us ship AI features faster, improve LLM observability, and keep our AI agents running reliably at scale.
• Own VPNs, firewalls, and networking. Drive SOC2 and HIPAA compliance — and wherever possible, automate it with AI agents rather than manual process.
• As the founding infra hire, you'll set the standards, define the roadmap, and grow this function as the company scales — with a direct line to leadership on every decision.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:
✓5–10 years as an infrastructure or platform engineer, with significant AWS ownership in a previous role
✓Experience as a first or early infra hire — you know what it means to build from scratch, not inherit
✓Previous ownership of security or compliance work — SOC2, HIPAA, or similar regulated environments
✓Strong Python skills and proficiency with IaC tooling — CDK preferred, Terraform fine
✓Background at a high-growth, high-caliber company — you've seen what good looks like under pressure
