Role Overview
We are seeking a commercially driven Business Development Manager to expand Axross’ presence across Malaysia, Singapore and Southeast Asia. This role focuses on identifying, developing, and converting new business opportunities into commercial engagements.
The role requires a balance of strategic thinking and hands-on execution — engaging senior stakeholders, while also driving day-to-day pipeline development and deal progression.
Roles and Responsibilities:
1. Business Development & Pipeline Creation
Identify and prioritise target industries and accounts across manufacturing, data centres, and large commercial assets
Build and maintain a structured pipeline aligned with company strategy
Develop and execute outreach strategies including cold outreach, referrals, and direct engagement
Conduct discovery discussions to understand operational and commercial needs
2. Commercial Development
Translate technical capabilities into clear business value propositions
Support proposal development, presentations, and commercial discussions
Work with internal teams to shape solutions for clients
Drive opportunities towards pilot projects and commercial agreements
3. Client Engagement
Build relationships with decision-makers across business and technical functions
Navigate complex stakeholder environments to move opportunities forward
Represent Axross in client meetings and selected industry engagements
4. Market Development
Contribute market insights to refine positioning and go-to-market strategy
Identify potential collaboration or ecosystem opportunities
Support expansion into new sectors and markets where relevant
Requirements
Experience in business development or sales within B2B environments
Exposure to industrial, HVAC, engineering, or technical solution-based industries
Familiarity with Southeast Asia’s regional business environment and experience in identifying and developing opportunities across markets
Ability to engage both senior decision-makers and technical stakeholders
Strong communication and value-based selling capability
Proven ability to manage multiple opportunities and maintain momentum
Proactive, self-driven, and comfortable with outbound business development
Willingness to travel within Southeast Asia for client engagement
