This role is a core leadership position in our go-to-market engine. You will own pipeline creation strategy, manage and scale outbound/inbound motions, and drive opportunities from first conversation through closed business—working directly with founders and executive leadership. Your work will materially influence bookings, forecast accuracy, and overall company momentum.
Role Overview
The Senior Manager, Sales leads prospecting and pipeline execution across digital outbound, phone-based engagement, inbound lead conversion, partner/event follow-up, and opportunity progression through the sales process. You will operate as a player-coach—closing key deals while building the repeatable process and team structure required to scale.
You’ll engage closely with executives, business development leaders, capture managers, and proposal teams at organizations actively pursuing government contracts. Success comes from strong customer insight, disciplined execution, clear deal leadership, and the ability to build a repeatable revenue motion.
Responsibilities
Own and execute the sales plan to drive qualified pipeline and closed revenue
Lead outbound strategy: ICP definition, targeting, messaging, sequencing, and multi-threading
Convert inbound demand into qualified opportunities with strong next steps and timelines
Manage follow-ups from events, partners, and strategic introductions; convert interest into active deals
Lead discovery and qualification; align stakeholders and build internal champions
Advance opportunities through the funnel with rigor: next steps, mutual action plans, and forecast clarity
Build and continuously improve sales infrastructure: CRM hygiene, reporting, dashboards, and playbooks
Partner with founders, marketing, and product to refine positioning, packaging, and feedback loops
Coach and develop SDR/BDR talent as the team scales (as applicable)
Qualifications
We are looking for a practical, execution-oriented sales leader who brings:
Demonstrated success in B2B sales, pipeline generation, and deal execution (SaaS preferred)
Experience managing a sales motion end-to-end: prospecting → discovery → close
Strong customer communication, executive presence, and consultative selling skills
Ability to build and maintain long-term professional relationships and multi-stakeholder consensus
Strong command of CRM systems and sales process discipline (Salesforce/HubSpot or similar)
Exceptional organization and the ability to manage multiple concurrent opportunities
Comfort operating in a fast-paced, fully remote environment with high ownership and ambiguity
Ability to learn AI-enabled products quickly and clearly communicate value to non-technical buyers
GovCon / Federal contracting familiarity is a plus (RFPs, capture, proposal operations), but not required
Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent experience will be considered
Compensation & Growth
This position includes a competitive base salary plus commission tied to closed revenue, along with quarterly performance bonuses tied to objectives. Performance is evaluated on outcomesqualified pipeline, bookings, and conversion—not activity alone.
In the first several months, success looks like establishing a consistent outbound/inbound rhythm, quickly mastering product and customer use cases, building repeatable pipeline, and contributing directly to closed revenue. Over time, expectations expand into deeper ownership of deals, forecasting, and scaling the team and sales system.
Location
Full-time, W-2, exempt position. Fully remote within the United States, with preference for candidates based in Texas.
