Carrier Setup Authorization Representative at MegaCorp Logistics
POSITION SUMMARY:
• Assists with administration of the day-to-day processing of the Carrier Setup Department transactions and administrative duties in order to ensure effective, efficient and accurate operations.
• Responsible for assisting in approval of new carriers set up by Account Managers and ensures carriers are legitimate companies that we can do business with.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Assists in monitoring the commodity on MegaCorp Logistics loads with new carriers to protect against claims and/or stolen loads.
• Assists in auditing new carriers in Hero to ensure all information from carrier packets are accurate.
• Assists in monitoring and verifying carrier partners to protect loads and ensure compliance is met.
• Verifies carrier information against two secure DOT sites, (Carrier Watch and DOT).
• Responsible for updating, verifying, and purchasing insurance for carrier partners.
• Follows up with Account Managers regarding missing carrier information set up with MegaCorp Logistics.
• Ensures that new carriers setup in Hero comply with current policies of Carrier Setup process.
• Responds to all “carrier setup” e-mail in a timely manner.
• Assists in auditing carrier packets to ensure that all required documents have been returned to MegaCorp Logistics.
• Ensures all information from new carriers is entered into the system correctly and matches the DOT.
• Assists with requests for insurance for new carriers as requested by Account Managers.
• Assists with setting up new carriers or re-approving carriers MegaCorp Logistics has previously done business with.
• Makes changes and updates carrier packets in Hero when requested by the President or CIO.
• Provides administrative support to ensure effective and efficient office operations and ensures work responsibilities are covered when absent from work.
• Maintains New Carrier Spreadsheet.
• Accurately inputs and maintains data.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
• High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Minimum 1 year related experience preferred
