It integrates with sales apps like HubSpot and Salesforce, and gets outbound email into inboxes, instead of going to spam. We built an Open Source mailserver automation system, and peer network for exchanging data to help independent mailservers deliver. Our last company was an Open Source Mailchimp, sending billions of emails each month. Email connects startups to 85% of adults worldwide - sales over email makes innovation possible, and builds unicorns. We use email's Open Standards and our own Open Source to get new ideas in front of the relevant buyers. About the role We are looking for an Impatient Builder. Lightmeter builds the operating system for outbound sales. As our Founding Growth Lead, you will be Customer Zero. You will use our product (Lens) combined with the modern RevOps stack (Clay, SalesNav, HeyReach, etc.) to drive our own growth and pathfind features to save you time and benefit customers. The Mission: We need someone hands-on, efficient, effective, and results-driven. Job #1 is steady creation of Top Of Funnel. Your KPI will be Weekly Sales Qualified Leads generated. You’ll take ownership of our existing and effective growth machine, driving it daily and feeding it fresh campaign ideas, while helping to extend, improve, and productize it. Who You Are: The Auditor: You’re a data-driven decision maker and experimenter. You farm known playbooks while simultaneously exploring new ones. You achieve predictable TOFU for sales through solid project management including rational bets and risk mitigation. The Impatient Builder: You execute manual processes to get results today (Priority 1), but you hate the manual work enough to demand our Product team automates it for you tomorrow (Priority 2). The Resource Manager: You plan out what you’ll need to hit your targets, and make damn sure you get it. You communicate your needs and obtain and manage necessary resources (budget, tooling, approvals, attention, etc.) to fuel your own success. A Writer: You understand that "Brand" voice is different from "Conversion" voice. You write outbound templates that engage audiences. You’re experimental and playful and figure out weird things that drive attention and interest. What You Will Do: Own the Engine: Manage our full outbound stack: Lightmeter’s own campaign manager (‘Beam’), plus HeyReach, Clay, LinkedIn, etc. Customer Zero: You will be the harshest critic of our own software. When our products slows you down, you demand improvements from Engineering. Pipeline Generation: Your primary KPI is Sales Qualified Leads. That means: 1st Sales Call Executed with Lead meeting qualification criteria. Requirements: Proven experience with modern outbound tools (Clay, Smartlead/Instantly, Scrapers). Ability to build list-building waterfalls from scratch. A disdain for inefficiency - you automate or eliminate, you don't just "grind" forever. Preference for making processes and automations for recurring workflows Strategic and systems-thinker (solve for gains next week and next month as well as today). "Bad News First" mentality. If the funnel breaks down you broadcast that immediately to marshal additional resources to fix it.
