The role
Digital Renegades builds and cares for websites for premium, brand-driven businesses: boutique hospitality and vacation rentals, curated media and membership brands, aesthetics and elective medical practices, and founder-led product companies. These clients hire us because we treat their brand like our own, and we answer when they need us. We are hiring a Web Developer to become the technical backbone of that promise.
You will take ownership of builds, integrations, troubleshooting, and day-to-day maintenance that keep our clients' sites fast, secure, and dependable. As you find your footing, you take on more work, so we can grow without slipping below the standard our clients pay for.
This is a real ownership role on a small team. You will work directly with the founder, touch every project, and have a genuine say in how we build.
What you'll own
Build and launch WordPress and WooCommerce sites for premium clients, primarily in Beaver Builder, with clean and maintainable code.
Maintain and support live sites under our care plans: updates, security, backups, uptime, and the urgent fix when something breaks. That responsiveness is a big part of why clients stay with us.
Handle third-party integrations: property management and booking systems, payment and membership platforms, CRMs, and the APIs that tie them together.
Run platform migrations, for example, Shopify to WooCommerce, while protecting client data and search rankings through the move.
Own technical SEO and performance: page speed, Core Web Vitals, structured data, accessibility, and the findings that come out of our weekly site audits.
Troubleshoot the hard stuff: a broken checkout, a hacked login, a plugin conflict, a hosting issue on AWS or managed WordPress.
Help build out our internal automation: Make.com scenarios, ClickUp workflows, and AI-powered tooling that lets a small team do the work of a much larger one.
What we're looking for
Strong PHP and deep comfort in the WordPress ecosystem: themes, plugins, hooks, WooCommerce, and a page builder such as Beaver Builder or Elementor.
Solid front-end skills: HTML5, CSS3 with SCSS, JavaScript, responsive design, and the eye to match a premium design closely.
Confidence with REST APIs and third-party integrations, including reading unfamiliar documentation and making two systems talk to each other.
Hosting and deployment fundamentals: managed WordPress, cPanel or AWS, DNS, SSL, staging-to-production workflows, and Git.
Database competence with MySQL: writing and debugging queries, and keeping data intact through a migration.
A working grasp of technical SEO, performance, and accessibility.
Understanding of how to use and AI toolset, and its limitations
Helpful but not required: Shopify, experience with hospitality or booking platforms, or a real interest in AI tooling and automation.
Who thrives here
You take pride in work that holds up, and you dig until you find the actual cause of a problem. You can explain a technical decision in plain language, because our clients are not technical, and clear communication is part of how we work. You like being the person who handles things.
Let's talk
You will own real projects from the start, work shoulder to shoulder with the founder, and help shape how we build as we grow. If that sounds like the seat you want, send us your work and a short note on what you have built.
Pay: $48,567.32 - $58,489.68 per year
