About the Company:
https://reflexityai.com - We are an AI-powered retail data startup building next-generation Generative AI solutions for the retail industry. Our platform leverages agentic AI (autonomous goal-driven agents) and semantic AI (context-aware intelligence) to turn complex retail data into actionable insights. By replacing legacy data-analysis stacks with dynamic, persona-based AI agents, we enable each stakeholder – from a merchandising manager to a supply chain lead – to get personalized answers to their business questions. Our mission is to eliminate the need for expensive consultant-driven workflows by using deep research AI that delivers in minutes what used to take weeks of analysis. In short, we help retailers unlock faster, smarter decisions at a fraction of the cost, through intelligent automation and innovation.
Role Overview:
As a Sales, Marketing; Business Development Associate inside founders' office, you will be at the frontlines of our B2B growth efforts, working directly with the founders and C-suite on high-impact initiatives who have a long history of pure entrepreneurship. This role is designed for an ambitious MBA graduate who wants to kickstart their career in tech sales and marketing. You will engage retail industry clients, drive outreach campaigns, nurture inbound leads, and assist in shaping our go-to-market strategy. This is a hybrid role balancing outbound sales (lead generation and prospecting) with inbound marketing support (content and digital campaigns). High proficiency in written and spoken English is essential, as you’ll be crafting compelling pitches, interacting with enterprise clients, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. Success in this role means aggressively growing our sales pipeline, elevating our brand presence in the retail AI space, and contributing directly to the startup’s B2B revenue goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead Generation & Outbound Outreach: Identify and research prospective retail clients (brands, retailers, e-commerce companies). Use tools like LinkedIn Sales Navigator and cold outreach platforms to connect with decision-makers. Conduct cold calls, send outreach emails, and initiate conversations to build a strong top-of-funnel pipeline.
- Inbound Marketing & Lead Nurturing: Work with the marketing team on inbound inquiries and marketing-qualified leads. Follow up promptly with website sign-ups, event/webinar leads, or content download leads. Nurture warm leads through email sequences and LinkedIn engagement, moving them through the sales funnel toward a demo or meeting.
- Client Engagement & Demo Coordination: Schedule and conduct product demo meetings with interested prospects. Clearly communicate the value proposition of our AI solutions, tailoring the messaging to the client’s retail use-case (e.g. merchandising, supply chain, marketing analytics). Assist C-suite and technical teams in preparing for demos and follow-ups. Ensure a high-quality client experience from first contact to ongoing discussions.
- Market Research & Customer Insights: Perform research on target companies and retail industry trends to inform outreach strategies. Monitor news, reports, and social media for triggers (e.g. new product launches, technology investments) that could spark a conversation. Gather insights on client pain points and feedback, and share these with the product and research teams to refine our offerings.
- Content Marketing Support: Assist in planning and executing content campaigns that drive inbound interest. This may include helping to create B2B newsletters, case studies, blog posts, or LinkedIn content relevant to retail and AI. Coordinate with designers or content writers to ensure consistent messaging. Support digital marketing efforts such as social media management, email marketing campaigns, SEO, and webinar promotions as needed.
- Sales Pipeline Management & Automation: Maintain our CRM with up-to-date information on leads, contacts, and opportunities. Track all outreach and client interactions diligently. Help optimize our sales automation workflows – for example, setting up email sequences, integrating lead capture tools, or refining CRM funnels for efficiency. Work to streamline the sales process so we can scale outreach effectively.
- Performance & Growth Alignment: Take ownership of meeting weekly and monthly targets for outreach and lead generation (e.g. number of new contacts made, meetings scheduled, demos conducted). Consistently monitor your progress and KPIs. Collaborate with founders to adjust tactics and improve conversion rates. Your efforts should directly contribute to our startup’s B2B sales growth objectives – ultimately translating leads into revenue-generating clients.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
