Location: This is an onsite role based at Nextiva's Bengaluru office (Wilshire III by MFAR, 492, Hobli, RHB Colony, Mahadevapura, Bengaluru, Karnataka 560048). In-Office Expectation: This role is expected to work onsite five days per week, supporting a highly collaborative, in-person team environment.
Senior Software Engineer – Frontend (UI)
The Senior Software Engineer – Frontend is a hands-on individual contributor role for an experienced frontend engineer with strong technical expertise, ownership mindset, and a collaborative approach to building scalable web applications. This role is responsible for contributing to the development, modernization, and optimization of our frontend platform while actively delivering high-quality production code.
As a strong contributor, you will work on complex frontend initiatives, participate in technical design discussions, and help improve the scalability, reliability, performance, and usability of our applications. You will collaborate closely with product, design, backend engineering, and QA teams to deliver impactful, user-centered experiences aligned with business goals.
You will contribute to frontend best practices through code reviews, architecture discussions, testing strategies, and engineering standards. You will also support and mentor junior engineers while continuously growing your own technical expertise within a fast-paced, product-driven engineering environment.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building modern frontend applications, solving technical challenges, collaborating across teams, and growing toward advanced technical leadership.
We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer – Frontend (UI) to contribute to the evolution of our web applications and support Nextiva's mission of delivering exceptional customer experiences through a unified, modern platform powered by AI and automation.
Responsibilities
Contribute to the rebuild and modernization of existing web applications to improve performance and user experience
Collaborate closely with design teams to translate UI/UX concepts into scalable, high-quality interfaces
Write clean, maintainable, and high-performance React-based frontend code
Participate in end-to-end feature delivery, from design through deployment
Contribute to frontend engineering standards through code reviews, testing, and engineering best practices
Debug application issues, identify bottlenecks, and improve frontend performance
Work with CI/CD pipelines and modern frontend development workflows
Evaluate and implement modern frontend tools and libraries where appropriate
Ensure consistency, maintainability, and scalability of frontend applications
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, backend, QA, and design
Contribute to shared component libraries and frontend architecture initiatives
Participate in PR reviews with attention to maintainability, accessibility, and code quality
Support and mentor junior engineers within the team
Stay current with modern frontend technologies, frameworks, and engineering practices
Requirements
Basic Qualifications
6–9 years of experience in frontend development
Strong expertise in React and frontend fundamentals (JavaScript, HTML, CSS)
Experience working in product-based organizations
Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle
Experience debugging frontend applications and optimizing performance
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and modern development workflows
Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals
Solid TypeScript experience including types, generics, and reusable component patterns
Experience with modern frontend tooling and package management
Experience building reusable UI components and scalable frontend applications
Hands-on experience with Tailwind CSS or modern styling approaches
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with WebRTC or real-time communication technologies.
Experience with React Native or mobile application development
Exposure to modern state/data management libraries (e.g., TanStack Query)
Familiarity with monorepo tooling such as Turborepo, Nx, or pnpm workspaces
Familiarity with modern frontend architecture patterns
Experience with real-time or WebSocket-based applications
Familiarity with Storybook-driven component development
Exposure to headless UI/component libraries such as Radix UI or Base UI
Flexibility to contribute across web, mobile, or browser extension experiences
AI & Modern Engineering Expectations
Leverage AI tools to improve engineering productivity through code generation, testing, debugging, and workflow efficiency
Understand how AI-powered experiences improve customer engagement and platform usability
Stay current with emerging AI-assisted engineering practices and frontend development trends
Contribute to building scalable and modern user experiences aligned with Nextiva's AI-powered Unified-CXM platform vision
