Job Purpose:
The Marketing Manager is responsible for developing and executing integrated marketing strategies that drive exhibitor, delegate, sponsor, and visitor acquisition across the event portfolio. The role ensures the delivery of high-impact, data-driven marketing campaigns that strengthen brand positioning, maximise audience engagement, and contribute directly to commercial and attendance targets.
This position works collaboratively with internal stakeholders, external partners, agencies, and suppliers to deliver world-class marketing campaigns using a balanced mix of traditional, digital, and innovative marketing channels.
Key Accountabilities:
• Develop and execute integrated marketing campaigns across the event portfolio.
• Manage campaign timelines, critical paths, and marketing budgets.
• Oversee event websites, digital platforms, mobile applications, registration systems, and third-party integrations to ensure optimal user experience and functionality.
• Create and manage strategic marketing plans, campaign timelines, and critical paths aligned to event objectives and deadlines.
• Manage and optimise multi-channel marketing campaigns across digital and traditional platforms including email, social media, PR, paid media, SEO/SEM, website, outdoor, print, and partnerships.
• Monitor, manage, and report on marketing budgets, campaign performance, and marketing ROI.
• Build, maintain, segment, and optimise event databases to support targeted and mass marketing campaigns while ensuring data quality and compliance.
• Manage relationships with media partners, associations, agencies, and suppliers, including negotiating barter and promotional agreements.
• Coordinate the development and production of marketing collateral and provide onsite marketing support during events.
Job Context:
The Marketing Manager works closely with exhibition sales, sponsorship, conference production, delegate sales, operations, and digital teams to deliver commercially successful events. The role requires strong cross-functional collaboration, stakeholder engagement, and the ability to manage multiple campaigns and deadlines simultaneously in a fast-paced event environment.
The role also requires regular coordination with external suppliers, creative agencies, media partners, and technology providers to ensure the successful delivery of marketing initiatives and event-related communications.
Qualifications, Experience, & Skills:
Minimum Qualifications and Knowledge:
• Marketing qualification is advantageous - Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field.
Minimum Experience:
• Minimum 4–6 years of marketing experience, preferably within events, exhibitions, conferences, B2B marketing, or related industries.
• Proven experience managing integrated marketing campaigns and delivering measurable commercial results.
Job-Specific Skills
• Strong understanding of integrated marketing strategy and campaign management.
• Experience in digital marketing, including email marketing, PPC, SEO/SEM, social media, and website management.
• Experience with CRM systems, database management, audience segmentation, and marketing automation platforms.

• Budget management and forecasting experience.
• Experience managing agencies, suppliers, media partners, and third-party vendors.
• Knowledge of event registration systems, mobile event applications, and digital engagement tools.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
