Job Description
We are looking for a Product Manager with experience in K12 academic products who can help us build and scale a new K12 vertical. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in developing, launching, and managing academic products/programs for school students and should be capable of driving the product lifecycle from ideation to profitability.
As an organization currently focused on IT courses, we are looking to expand into the K12 academic segment, and this role will play a key part in setting up and growing the new vertical.
Key Roles & ResponsibilitiesProduct Strategy & Planning
· Identify new K12 academic product opportunities through market research, parent/student demand, and competitor analysis.
· Define product vision, positioning, target audience, and value proposition for K12 learners.
· Create and manage a clear product roadmap aligned with business objectives and growth plans.
Product Design & Development
· Design academic program structures including curriculum framework, learning outcomes, duration, and delivery model (online/offline/hybrid).
· Coordinate with academic heads, SMEs, curriculum designers, trainers, and content teams.
· Ensure academic quality, learner engagement, and curriculum relevance aligned with K12 standards.
Financial Ownership & Break-even Accountability
· Develop pricing strategy, revenue model, and cost structure for products.
· Prepare product-level P&L, unit economics, and break-even analysis.
· Own product profitability and financial performance.
Go-To-Market & Product Launch
· Plan and execute product launches with sales, marketing, digital, and operations teams.
· Create sales enablement material including pitch decks, FAQs, counselling guides, and training documents.
· Ensure timely launches with clear execution milestones.
Performance Monitoring & Optimization
· Track KPIs such as enrollments, revenue, conversions, learner feedback, retention, and completion rates.
· Identify performance gaps and implement corrective actions.
· Continuously optimize curriculum, pricing, positioning, and delivery experience.
Stakeholder Management
· Act as the SPOC for all product-related initiatives.
· Collaborate closely with academics, sales, marketing, operations, finance, and leadership teams.
· Drive execution accountability across departments.
Product Scaling & Growth
· Scale successful K12 products across multiple locations and digital platforms.
· Introduce advanced modules, assessments, certifications, and strategic partnerships.
· Ensure long-term product sustainability and business growth.
Key Skills & Competencies
· Experience in K12 academic product development is mandatory.
· Strong understanding of K12 curriculum, learner behavior, and academic delivery models.
· Proven experience in product management, product launches, and business growth.
· Strong financial acumen with understanding of P&L and unit economics.
· Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
· Strategic thinking with strong execution capabilities.
· Ability to work in a fast-paced and growth-oriented environment.
Preferred Background
· Experience in EdTech, K12 education, academic program management, or curriculum/product development.
· Candidates from organizations working in K12 learning, after-school programs, online learning, coding/academic platforms, or education-focused startups will be preferred.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹700,000.00 - ₹1,100,000.00 per year
