Node.js Developer - Fintech

Job Title: Junior Backend Developer – Node.js / NestJS (FinTech) Location: Ahmedabad, Gujarat (On-site) Experience: 6 months – 1 year About the Role: We are looking for a Junior Node.js / NestJS Developer to join our FinTech engineering team. You will work on production-grade backend systems, integrate LLM-powered features, and help build secure, scalable financial platforms. This role is ideal for someone who has real project experience, understands modern backend practices, and is comfortable using AI-assisted development tools. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and maintain backend APIs using Node.js and NestJS - Build REST APIs following clean architecture and best practices - Work with PostgreSQL / MongoDB and understand data modeling - Integrate LLM APIs (OpenAI, Claude, Gemini, etc.) into backend workflows - Use AI developer tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or similar - Implement authentication, authorization, and role-based access control - Ensure data security, validation, and error handling for financial data - Collaborate with frontend, product, and QA teams - Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code - Debug, test, and optimize backend services Must-Have Skills: - Strong fundamentals in Node.js (async/await, promises, event loop) - Basic to intermediate experience with NestJS (modules, controllers, services, DTOs) - TypeScript knowledge (interfaces, types, decorators) - REST API development and request/response validation - Hands-on exposure to LLM integrations - Experience using AI coding tools (Cursor, Claude Code, Copilot, etc.) - Working knowledge of PostgreSQL or MongoDB - Familiarity with Git and version control workflows Good to Have: - Experience in FinTech, payments, lending, or banking systems - Knowledge of JWT, OAuth, and API security best practices - Exposure to Docker and basic deployment concepts - Understanding of logging, monitoring, and rate limiting - Awareness of Indian FinTech compliance concepts (KYC, data privacy) - Startup or fast-paced development experience Job Type: Full-time Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month Benefits: Flexible schedule Health insurance Paid sick time Paid time off Provident Fund Work Location: In person
