Security Engineer at TraceWay
Security Engineer
TraceWay is hiring a Security Engineer to protect our firmware supply chain, build infrastructure, and connected services. You will audit the Zephyr RTOS build pipeline, evaluate hardware debug interfaces, and harden the cloud services that distribute software updates to user devices. Your work ensures that open systems remain trustworthy without becoming dependent on proprietary security tools or opaque monitoring agents.
Responsibilities include reviewing code for memory safety flaws, configuring static analysis tools, managing credential rotation, and responding to vulnerability reports. You will design threat models for wearable hardware, validate secure boot implementations, and enforce signing policies for released binaries. We expect you to collaborate with firmware developers, DevOps staff, and hardware engineers to keep security controls transparent, minimal, and fully documented.
Requirements:
Three or more years in application or embedded security roles
Strong skills in cryptography, secure boot, and network protocols
Experience with C, Python, and Linux system administration
Familiarity with Zephyr, ARM TrustZone, or hardware side channel analysis is a plus
