Software Engineer

Job Summary The Software Engineer is responsible for developing, implementing, and supporting enterprise-level web applications that are built using PHP (Laravel) and React/NextJS. This role builds scalable and high-performance web-based solutions. The Software Developer works on all aspects of software development, including user interface development, object-oriented coding, unit and integration testing, troubleshooting software problems in test and production environments, and resolving software bugs. Primary Duties and Responsibilities Work independently on high-complexity designs and programs Back‑end development primarily in PHP/Laravel Front‑end development primarily in React/NextJS Collaborate with the project manager to identify future needs, develop strategy for overall scope, implement features for releases, implement requirements, and produce system documentation Provide technical expertise to identify, evaluate, and develop effective procedures and system requirements that align with the business requirements Additional Responsibilities Additional duties as assigned Innovative Thinking – Consistently demonstrates a passion for innovative thinking and idea generation, successfully obtains buy‑in from relevant stakeholders, navigates the creative process, and projects how potential ideas may play out in the marketplace Enthusiasm & Passion – Communicates a compelling and inspired vision of core purpose, focuses on the future, inspires others to take the journey, and sparks passion and creativity among those around them Manages Ambiguity & Change – Makes decisions with available information that align with strategy, embraces and manages change, challenges the status quo, champions new initiatives, and comfortably handles risk and uncertainty The Individual Demonstrate knowledge of the web technologies outlined above Ability to work independently and multi‑task effectively Demonstrate understanding of projects from the perspective of both client and business Flexible and willing to accept a change in priorities as necessary Strong attention to detail Interaction with program managers, tech leads, co‑developers, and end‑users, with the ability to effectively communicate ideas and concepts both verbally and in written documents, is critical Qualifications At least 3 years of hands‑on experience with a combination of the following technologies PHP/Laravel React/NextJS MySQL Restful API’s GIT AWS All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or protected veteran status.
