Vertical Data is an AI infrastructure and GPU financing company. We operate gpufinancing.com, a lending and GPU-secured financing platform built for AI cloud providers, data center operators, and enterprises deploying AI hardware at scale. We also provide GPU procurement, managed services, and sovereign cloud solutions globally as well as Vertical Edge, an edge data center platform.
We are building the GE Capital of AI.
The Role
You will underwrite, structure, and close GPU-secured loans. Deal sizes range from $10M to $250M+. Borrowers include global cloud providers, AI labs, data center operators, and mining companies pivoting to AI compute.
Day to day:
• Build cash flow models on GPU clusters. Compute utilization, contracted revenue, depreciation curves, residual values.
• Underwrite borrower credit. Analyze financials, capacity contracts, customer concentration, sponsor backing.
• Structure loan terms. LTV, amortization, covenants, collateral packages, intercreditor positioning.
• Draft credit memos and present to investment committee.
• Run diligence on hardware. Understand and analyze spec differences, deployment timelines, supply allocation.
• Work with outside counsel and capital partners on loan docs, UCC filings, and security interests.
• Work with our capital partners to manage diligence and funding.
• Manage portfolio. Monitor covenants, utilization, borrower performance.
Requirements
• 2 to 5 years in asset-backed lending, specialty finance, or structured credit at a private equity firm, credit fund, or investment bank.
• Modeled and closed senior secured or ABL transactions.
• Working knowledge of AI infrastructure: GPUs, data centers, hyperscalers, neoclouds, compute economics.
• Strong financial modeling. Excel native. Can build a deal model from a blank workbook.
• Direct communication. No filler.
• Experience with deal-driven workstreams. Occasional work on evenings and weekends to meet timelines on active transactions.
• Based in the US or Canada. Potential for on site role in Toronto or Las Vegas, or a remote role based on candidate.
Nice to Have
• Experience with warehouse facilities or forward flow agreements.
• Deeper familiarity with AI hardware or Bitcoin mining ecosystem.
• Bitcoin mining or HPC infrastructure exposure.
Compensation
Competitive market salary. Compensation is a mix of base salary, deal-based bonuses, and equity (from a growing publicly traded company).
