Software Test Consultant

Job Description: The candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and functionality of our software products through thorough manual testing. The candidate will work closely with the development team to understand requirements, design test cases, execute test plans, and report bugs. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a passion for ensuring the highest level of quality in software products. Responsibilities: Collaborate with the development team to understand software requirements and design comprehensive test cases. Execute test plans and test cases manually to identify bugs, defects, and issues in software applications. Document test results, including detailed steps to reproduce issues and expected vs. actual outcomes. Work closely with developers to troubleshoot and resolve issues identified during testing. Perform regression testing to ensure that defects are fixed, and new features do not introduce additional issues. Participate in product design and requirement review meetings to provide input on testability and potential quality issues. Continuously improve testing processes and methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Communicate test progress, test results, and quality metrics to stakeholders in a clear and timely manner. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that quality standards are met throughout the software development lifecycle. Stay updated on industry best practices, emerging technologies, and new testing tools to improve testing practices. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field. Proven experience in manual testing of web-based and/or mobile applications (5+years). Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, tools, and processes. Experience in creating detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
