Job Summary:We are seeking a skilled and innovative Laser Cutting Machine Design Engineer to design, develop, and improve laser cutting systems and related mechanical components. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of machine design, laser systems, motion control, and manufacturing processes. This role involves working closely with electrical, software, and production teams to deliver high-performance and reliable laser cutting solutions.Key Responsibilities:Design and develop laser cutting machines, including mechanical structures, motion systems, and sheet metal assemblies.Create 3D models, detailed drawings, and BOMs using CAD software (SolidWorks & AutoCAD).Perform engineering calculations (stress, load, vibration, thermal analysis).Select appropriate components such as motors, linear guides, ball screws, gearboxes, and laser sources.Collaborate with electrical and software engineers for system integration (motion control, CNC systems).Optimize machine performance for precision, speed, and durability.Support prototype development, testing, and troubleshooting.Ensure compliance with safety standards and industry regulations.Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for component selection and cost optimization.Provide technical support to manufacturing and service teams.Participate in continuous improvement and cost-reduction initiatives.Required Qualifications:Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.3-8 years of experience in machine design (experience in laser cutting or CNC machines preferred).Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks & AutoCAD)Strong understanding of:Machine design principlesMotion control systemsSheet metal fabricationGD&T and tolerance analysisKnowledge of laser technologies (fiber laser, CO laser) is an advantage.Familiarity with FEA tools is preferred.Good problem-solving and analytical skills.Ability to work in a cross-functional team environment.Preferred Skills:Experience in CNC machine design.Knowledge of servo motors, linear motors, and automation systems.Understanding of thermal management and vibration control.Hands-on experience in prototype assembly and testing.Project management skills.Key Competencies:Strong technical aptitudeAttention to detailInnovation and creativityCommunication and teamworkTime managementLocation : Peenya or Dabaspet at Manufacturing UnitRole: Design Engineer,Industry Type: Industrial Equipment / Machinery (Machine Tools),Department: Research & Development,Employment Type: Full Time, PermanentRole Category: Engineering & ManufacturingEducationUG: Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, B.Tech / B.E. in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics
