Your Role
As a Research Intern, you will support DDX in developing research, insights, and thought leadership content around design, innovation, digital transformation, AI, user experience, product strategy, and future business trends.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys researching emerging topics, identifying patterns, writing clearly, and turning complex ideas into useful insights for a professional audience.
Responsibilities
Research & Insights
Research trends in design, innovation, UX, AI, product, digital transformation, and future of work
Identify relevant studies, reports, articles, companies, startups, and expert perspectives
Summarize key findings and turn them into clear insights for the DDX audience
Support the development of research briefs, trend reports, and editorial pieces
Thought Leadership & Publishing
Help create articles, insights, interviews, and opinion pieces for the DDX website and newsletter
Support the development of topic ideas for future publications and conference themes
Translate research findings into accessible content for senior leaders, designers, product teams, and innovation professionals
Assist in building a consistent editorial voice for DDX as a thought leadership platform
Conference & Speaker Research
Research potential speakers, companies, panels, and topics for upcoming DDX events
Support agenda development with background research and topic framing
Prepare speaker briefs, interview questions, and panel discussion angles
Identify relevant case studies and examples from global companies and innovation ecosystems
Market & Ecosystem Research
Map relevant companies, design teams, product organizations, startups, agencies, and innovation leaders
Support research for partnerships, sponsorships, and audience development
Track relevant industry movements, conferences, reports, and publications
Help build internal knowledge databases and research repositories
What We’re Looking For
Strong interest in design, innovation, technology, AI, UX, product, business, or future trends
Good research, writing, and analytical skills
Ability to summarize complex topics clearly and concisely
Curiosity about how companies, technologies, and creative industries evolve
Comfortable working independently and organizing information
Experience with tools such as Notion, Google Docs, LinkedIn, research databases, AI tools, or newsletter platforms is a plus
Strong English skills; German or other languages are a plus
